Yoho National Park Information

The main source of Yoho National Park information is the FIELD VISITOR CENTRE – look for the distinctive blue roof beside the Trans-Canada Highway at the turn-off to Field (250/343-6783, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily in summer, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily the rest of the year). Inside you’ll find helpful staff, information boards, interpretive panels, and a Friends of Yoho bookstore. This is also the place to pick up backcountry camping permits, buy topographical maps, and find out schedules for campground interpretive programs. For more information, check out the Yoho National Park section of the Parks Canada website. For park road conditions, call 403/762-1450; for avalanche reports, call 403/762-1460.
