Canadian Rockies Campground Reservations in 2024

The screen campers love to see – it’s your turn to reserve!

Parks Canada recently released launch dates for Canadian Rockies national park campground reservations in 2024. As usual, dates are staggered, but on launch day for each park, the entire season opens through Parks Canada Reservations. Exactly 30 minutes before opening, users are directed to a waiting page and at 8 am MST, everyone in the “waiting area” is randomly assigned a place in the queue. Once your it’s your turn, you will have 30 minutes to make a reservation.

Launch dates for Canadian Rockies frontcountry campgrounds in 2024 are:

Banff National Park: 8 am (MST) January 26, 2024
Jasper National Park: 8 am (MST) January 30, 2024
Kootenay National Park: 8 am (MST) January 23, 2024
Yoho National Park: 8 am (MST) January 23, 2024
Waterton Lakes National Park: 8 am (MST) January 24, 2024

Kananaskis Country campground reservations 2024

Kananaskis Country campground reservations are made through the Alberta Parks reservation system. Instead of a launch day for reservations, the Alberta Parks system operates on rolling dates, with reservations opening up to 3 months in advance of the date you want to arrive, at 8 am MST. For example, if you want top arrive on July 25, 2024, you can reserve starting at 8 am MST on April 25, 2024.

British Columbia provincial park campground reservations 2024

British Columbia provincial park campground reservations are made through BC Parks. Instead of a launch day for reservations, the BC Parks system operates on rolling dates, with reservations opening up to 4 months in advance of the date you want to arrive, at 7 am PST. For example, if you want top arrive on July 25, 2024, you can reserve starting at 7 am PST on March 25, 2024.
