Jasper National Park Swimming

Through summer in Jasper National Park, beaches at Pyramid and Edith Lakes fill with locals and visitors. The shallow water and sandy lake floor make these lakes warmer than those to the south in Banff National Park. Horseshoe Lake, south of town along the Icefields Parkway, is a popular cliff-jumping site for locals.

The newly renovated Jasper Aquatic Centre (401 Pyramid Lake Rd., 780/852-3663) has an Olympic-size swimming pool; admission $5.80.
