Waterton Lakes National Park Campground Reservations in 2024

Parks Canada has released launch dates for Waterton Lakes National Park campground reservations in 2024, as well as opening and closing dates for each campground.

Camping reservations for the Townsite Campground in Waterton Lakes National Park open at 8 am (MST) on January 24, 2024. Exactly 30 minutes before the 8 am opening time, click on the link at Parks Canada Reservations and you will be directed to a waiting page. At 8 am, everyone in the “waiting area” will be randomly assigned a place in the queue. Once your it’s your turn, you will have 30 minutes to make a reservation.

Belly River Campground is first-come, first served and no announcement has been made about the reopening of Crandell Mountain Campground, which was rebuilt after the 2017 Kenow wildfire, but remains closed.

Waterton Lakes National Park campground opening dates in 2024

Townsite Campground will open on April 25, 2024 and close on October 13, 2024. Reservations will be taken for bookings between May 3, 2024 and September 8, 2024. At the beginning and end of the season, sites are first-come, first served.
